QOL Conference 2012 – Liverpool
Prof. Simon Rogers is organising the QOL Conference in Liverpool-8th International Workshop. This two day conference will cover many topics relevant to clinicians especially working in the head and neck cancer field. (P.S. I will be giving a talk fears of cancer recurrence based on qualitative data).
Here is a brief outline of the programme:
- Thursday morning – An update in H&N since the last conference
(e.g publications, national initiatives, research initiatives)
- Thursday afternoon – Functional outcomes
(e.g appearance, dental, nutrition/ PEG, speech, swallowing, nutrition/ PEG)
- Friday morning – Identifying needs/Communicatio/Emotional Distress
(e.g getting the most of our communication in a busy clinical setting)
- Friday afternoon – The patient and carer perspective
(Feedback from patient and cares on websites / priority setting / support groups)
